Question

So, this is rather random. I should also be studying for finals. Or mailing off my Ohio state tax forms. First, though, I wanted to pose a quick question for those to whom it applies. What was the first characteristic/aspect about your spouse that attracted you to him/her? I'm thinking more the point at which you decided there was definite interest worth pursuing. Don't worry; I'll share mine when I figure it out, too. :p

It's been so long I had to think for a week about what was different. There were other beautiful, talented, smart women I went out with but somehow Pooka was different.

I first noticed Pooka because she had beautiful eyes and was leading the music in sacrament meeting. But that would be the very first thing I noticed.

I think the things that made the difference between just another attractive, smart, talented woman and the one I had a definite interest in marrying were:
1. Pooka pulled me in the right direction - always.
2. She had the right goals and was not tentative in owning them.
3. After I got to know her - even months before we went on our first date - I trusted her ability to make decisions well.
