The Scoop...

I really enjoy and tend to promote ice cream, but that's not the scoop I'm referring to today.
For all of you who haven't heard yet, I received my mission call!! Technically, it went to Caroline's house (even though I wrote down that it should come out here)...maybe that means she should come, too. Anyway, I've been called to serve in the Ecuador, Quito Mission. :) I'll be serving a proselyting and welfare mission. I'll be speaking Spanish (or whatever else is needed), which I'll be learning more once I report to the MTC on July 19th. I'm so excited to devote this part of my life solely to serving the Lord and His children.

I don't think ice cream is any better than that scoop of news! Congratulations! You'll be a great missionary. How many family members are allowed to take you the MTC? I think I 'll be in Utah on that day.

Congratulations!
Just like that good stuff that is dispensed from a scoop, you will be great in the Ecuador, Quito Mission.
I wonder if the whole Heber City reunion crew will be able to travel to the MTC for your induction?

Well, I'm glad I read the blogs, cause I just clicked on yours and exclaimed "Sue got her call too!" to the Coach. He said "you didn't know that?" And then he remembered that maybe I wasn't home when you called. And maybe he forgot to tell me.

But I'm glad I know now, cause I'm very happy for you. Congratulations!

I haven't heard of split proselyting/welfare missions before. Do you know any more about how that works?

Yeah, I don't so much know how the proselyting and welfare mission goes, but I'll let you know in a few months. As I discover the cool aspects of Ecuador, I'll let you know about those, too. (I hope there's llamas.)

I had split sisters in my mission. As I recall they had training in both. And the mission president used them according to his/ the Lord will fill sometimes one, other times both tasks.

Oh yea ... And congrats!!!!

Congratulations!!! Plus, you should see if they will let you take Caroline with you. That would be fun.

Congratulations! Thanks for letting me read it to you over the phone. That was cool!
P.S. I don't think I fit into any of your bags. And who would take care of my kids?
